A call from the public about a possible impaired driver netted a 90-day prohibition for a Central Saanich driver. Police were called March 22 around 7:20 p.m. about a swerving vehicle being driven at varying speeds on Highway 17 near Keating X Road.
Officers stopped a vehicle westbound near the intersection of East Saanich and Mount Newton X roads. The driver showed symptoms of impairment and after a roadside screening was taken to the station for further breath tests. She was issued a 90-day driving prohibition and impaired driving charges are being recommended.
