Police looking for suspect in overnight robbery

Male suspect robbed Super 8 Hotel on Mount Newton X Road

Just after midnight on Aug. 22 Sidney North Saanich RCMP officers responded to a a robbery at the Super 8 Hotel on Mount Newton X Road in Saanichton.

According to officers, there was one male suspect involved in this robbery and it is believed he departed from the scene on foot.

The suspect wore a mask during the robbery and is described as being 5’9″ in height and around 190 pounds. The suspect has a tattoo of cursive writing on the left side of his neck.

Police are asking anyone with information to please contact the RCMP at 250-656-3931 or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
