Peninsula Celebrations Society keeps on Sparkling

The Sidney Sparkes Parade is set for Dec. 6 this year.

This year’s Sidney Sparkles Parade is Dec. 6.

Long-time volunteer Dawn Trivet will be taking over as president of the Peninsula Celebrations Society.

Trivet, also one of the Society founders, will replace outgoing president Joanne Olsen. The change was announced at the Oct. 13 Town of Sidney council meeting.

The Society expressed thanks to its many sponsors and supporters — all of whom work together to make their many events happen.

The next one is the Sidney Sparkles Santa Claus Parade on Dec. 6 on Beacon Avenue.
