Expect construction at Swartz Bay ferry terminal this summer.
Bus bay construction is slated to start mid-July and run through the end of August.
BC Ferries is creating dedicated parking bays for tour and school buses, along with adjacent sidewalks at the foot passenger portion of the terminal.
During the construction period the west exit lane will remain open to single lane traffic for vehicles exiting both the short term parking and pickup/drop off areas. BC Transit buses will drop and pick up passengers in a designated temporary loading area.
