Council to hear results of public comments on short term rentals, protections for Victoria tenants

Short-term rental regulations, a study on rental units in Victoria and approving a transitional housing facility are on the agenda Thursday (Nov. 23) for Victoria city council.

Here’s what council will be discussing at Thursday morning’s committee of the whole meeting:

  • Short term rental business regulations, feedback from the public
  • Rental housing study results, presentation of report’s results
  • Four-storey and five-storey residential buildings, and townhouses in the Capital Park project
  • New community garden at Franklin Green, proposed by North Park Neighbourhood Association

And at council Thursday evening:

While both committee of the whole and council meetings are open to everyone, there are no opportunities for public comment at committee of the whole. Those wishing to address council or speak at a public hearing can sign up for council’s Thursday evening meetings.
