UPDATE: Missing Metchosin man’s remains found in Sooke

RCMP suspect no criminality in death of Steven Grant, missing since Jan. 30

The remains of a missing Metchosin man were found Sunday in Sooke.

Steven Grant, 53, was reported missing Jan. 30 and his remains were located by hikers in the Sea to Sea Regional Park, on April 25, according to West Shore RCMP.

Police do not believe criminality was involved in his death.

Sooke RCMP had taken over the case after Grant’s truck was found in the Sooke area on Feb. 6.
