Opening the first components of the McTavish interchange will likely come in late March or early April, not far off the targeted March completion, according to the Ministry of Transportation. The transit component will come after that, likely in June.
Construction started in November 2009 after the big announcement in April of that year that the project cost would be shared between the province and federal government each offering $10.5 million and the Victoria Airport Authority kicking in $3 million.
