Pedestrians stroll along the Ogden Point breakwater as a pilot boat and a container ship motor by. Handrails will be installed on the sides of the walkway starting Monday.

The Ogden Point breakwater will close to the public as of Monday (Feb. 4) for roughly eight weeks, as crews install handrails on the walkway.

The upgrades, being overseen by the Greater Victoria Harbour Authority, include improved water access for divers.
