Cougar sighting on Tsawout

Two sightings on the Peninsula in less than a week

Just after dusk on Sept. 1, RCMP responded to a report of a cougar sighting on the Tsawout reservation near Sandhill Creek. Conservation officers were notified and police conducted extensive patrols, but no cougar was located. A cougar report came in overnight from the 9200-block of East Saanich Rd. on Sept. 4, but also turned up nothing.
