A tussle on the bus drew Central Saanich Police to the 2200 block of East Saanich Road on March 18. The bus driver observed an assault on the upper deck of the double-decker he was driving and had dispatch call police. When officers arrived the person witnesses said was the victim, chose not to file a complaint. Officers learned that a suspect had grabbed the victim by the neck and threatened him. They found a suspect walking toward Mount Newton X Road and arrested the Victoria man for uttering threats. Subsequently they found two bags of marijuana on the man.
