Stelly's Secondary School celebrated its graduating Class of 2025 on Tuesday, June 17, with a heartfelt walk-through of the school halls.
Led by valedictorians Sarah Prouse and Tessa Hunter-Siebert, the 174 graduates, adorned in caps and gowns, were met with enthusiastic cheers from fellow students, teachers and staff.
The tradition, which began five years ago during the COVID-19 pandemic when in-person graduation ceremonies were restricted, continues to provide a meaningful send-off for the graduating class.
"We like to send off our grads the right way," said interim principal Ryan Braun. "We're proud of them and we want to thank them for their four years here with us."
The official graduation ceremony for Stelly's Secondary School will be held at the University of Victoria on June 26.
Meanwhile, Parkland Secondary School's graduating class will follow suit with their celebratory walk down Beacon Avenue in Sidney on June 24.
