Man in critical condition after possibly falling down Goldstream waterfall

A man was taken to hospital with critical injuries after he was located at the bottom of Niagara Falls in Goldstream Provincial Park on Saturday, July 27.

West Shore RCMP said it appears the man fell from the top of the falls, however the cause of the fall is still unknown.

“BC Emergency Health Services received a call at 10:27 a.m. on July 27, about an incident at Niagara Falls in Goldstream Park. Two ambulances with primary care and advanced care paramedics attended the scene. Paramedics provided emergency medical treatment to one patient who was transported to hospital,” said EHS public information officer Rachelle Bown in a statement to Black Press.    

According to B.C. parks, the waterfall is just over 155 feet tall.
