Veteran Canadian songstress Joelle Rabu and Nigerian-born rising star Buwa are performing in Sidney for a one-night engagement at Mary Winspear Centre on Nov. 26.
Joelle is a two-time Jessie Award winner and Juno nominee who gained international acclaim for her theatrical interpretations and her voice that has enchanted audiences worldwide through her European cabaret-style tunes, jazz and torch songs.
Buwa, a B.C. based artist is known for his soulful voice, heartfelt storytelling and performance that draws inspiration from icons like Whitney Houston and India Arie.
“Just the 2 of Us” brings together these two brilliant singers performing multiple genres of music spanning six decades – from the soulful ballads of Edith Piaf and the power of Aretha Franklin to the timeless hits of Elton John and Whitney Houston.
