Vegas or bust for Mundell

The inaugural winner of Vancouver Island’s Got Talent is heading to showcase his musical talents in Las Vegas at Planet Hollywood on April 29.

Despite facing great adversities, Sky Mundell, who has cerebral palsy and is autistic, legally blind and deaf, is taking his piano-playing abilities on the road.

He opened for singer Michael Bolton in Vancouver in February, and now the 19-year-old will appear in V: The Ultimate Variety Show, in Las Vegas. The appearance was part of his prize for winning the Vancouver Island talent competition in January.

The Victoria resident is also now in the process of being signed by Nevada Talent Agency, another part of the winner’s prize.
