Photos make the big Time

Victoria native Devin Tepleski has found a place in the international world of photography.

The University of Victoria anthropology student was featured by Black Press last summer when he showed a photo exhibit at Luz Gallery on Oak Bay Avenue.

Last week, his photos led Time Magazine’s photo essay page, along with a writeup about his work.

Tepleski, 24, shot his series of images titled Sena while working in Ghana.

The village in which he was working was under threat of being wiped out by flooding if a proposal to dam the nearby Black Volta River was approved.
