Forget the pub – join the Victoria Arts Council gallery crawl, a.k.a. the 19th annual LOOK Show, being held March 25 to April 15 at three different locations.

In partnership with The Bay Centre, the Council will showcase a cross-section of mediums from emerging and established artists. Sculptors, poets, painters, potters, photographers, dancers, musicians, performers and storytellers are encouraged to submit their work for the show.

The LOOK Show is described on the council website as “a non-juried exhibition showcasing local artists and artisans of varied disciplines and designed to highlight not only the exceptional quality, but also the diversity of the local arts scene.”

The event has two new categories this year, literary, illustrating written works and installation. The show will feature a collaboration of displays, live art demonstrations and performances by local artists who may choose to sell their work, but it is not a stipulation of entry.

The Arts Council website is accepting submissions until March 12.
