The Vancouver Island Motor Gathering is back in Sidney this summer.

On August 16, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., a collection of cars and trucks, motorcycles and more will be on display at the Viscount Aero Centre, located at the west end of Beacon Avenue, across the highway.

There will be activities for the entire family, in addition to classic cars, hot rods and high-end vehicles. Some of this year’s featured cars include a 1951 Jaguar XK 120 and a 1962 XKE race car.

All money raised at the event will be donated to the three charities involved in 2015: Children’s Health Foundation of Vancouver Island, Saanich Peninsula Hospital Foundation and the David Foster Foundation.
