CENTRAL SAANICH —- CapriCCio Vocal Ensemble will present A Celtic Celebration Feb. 26 at St. Mary’s Church. They will perform as part of the Sunday Serenade series.

Other guest artists for the show include Amy Stephen on celtic harp, penny whistle and accordion and Allan Dionne on percussion and bodhran.

Directed by Michael Gormley, CapriCCio’s program of Celtic music will feature favourites like Loch Lomond, Danny Boy and The Lake Isle of Innisfree, along with more sacred works and folksongs from Britain and the Canadian Maritimes.

The vocal ensemble is an auditioned choir for adult voices and is now in its 28th season.

The performance includes choral music ranging from the 15th century to the present, from simple folk songs to Bach’s B Minor Mass and Handel’s Messiah.

CapriCCio has performed with the Victoria Symphony, the Civic Orchestra of Victoria, the Greater Victoria Youth Orchestra and more.

Tickets for their upcoming concert are $20 or free for children 12 and under, and are available from Tanner’s Books, at the door or can be reserved by calling 250-652-1611. The show will begin at 2:30 p.m. on Feb. 26 at St. Mary’s Church in Saanichton.
