A cross-country tour with the aim of encouraging young women to enter the aviation industry landed at the Victoria Flying Club Monday (March 20).

A small group of 12- to 18-year-olds had a chance to learn from aircraft mechanics, military and civilian pilots, and cabin crew about what they can expect from the job.

After spending the morning learning from those in the industry, the group had a chance to tour neighbouring aviation facilities, including the 100th Twin Otter aircraft made, which was towed out in front of the airport’s control tower for the kids to tour.
