Sidney man faces child porn charges

On Monday a Saanich Peninsula man was arrested and now faces charges relating to child pornography

SIDNEY — On Monday, April 14, a Saanich Peninsula man was arrested and faces charges relating to child pornography.

Officers from the Sidney North Saanich RCMP executed a search warrant relating to child pornography at a residence in Sidney.

The investigation was initiated online by the B.C. Integrated Child Exploitation Unit in January.

The 45-year-old Sidney man was arrested and is now facing charges of possession of child pornography and making available child pornography.

The accused has been released from custody and his next court appearance is in Victoria Provincial Court in May.
