Sidney Concert Band raises $1,500 for music education

Students from Bayside, North Saanich and Royal Oak middle schools also perform

The Sidney Concert Band raised $1,500 towards music education through its Dec. 3 concert.

The Sidney Concert Band, joined by students from Bayside, North Saanich and Royal Oak middle schools promises a family-friendly evening of performance. The funds, the same amount raised during last year’s annual event, will go directly to the three School District 63 middle school band programs.

The money will go toward new music scores and musical equipment.
