The Peninsula News Review hosted its ninth annual Women in Business breakfast on March 20. About 40 women from the Peninsula’s business community had coffee and breakfast at Haro’s restaurant in the Sidney Pier Hotel.

Green Party leader and MP for Saanich-Gulf Islands, and a Sidney businesswoman herself, Elizabeth May, spoke to the group about finding creative ways to overcome challenges in business.

The News Review’s publisher Jim Parker and sales rep Adam Somers gave away door prizes, donated by Christine Laurent Jewellers, Haven Spa, Haro’s restaurant, Sweet Talk and Lace Lingerie, and Miss Bliss Boutique.
