Flipping burgers and roasting dogs paid off during Brentwood Bay Festival.
Volunteers from SeaFirst Insurance Brokers sold food off the grill on June 2, collecting $1,200 in donations. The firm matched that amount and presented a cheque for $2,400 to the Central Saanich Volunteer Fire Department Museum.
“We like to support local charities as much as possible,” said Doug Strong, president of SeaFirst Insurance. “The volunteer firefighters play such an important role in mitigating fire losses in Central Saanich. It’s nice to be able to give back.”
