Holy Trinity Church member Diana Chown describes the history of the local churchyard beside the gravestone of Peninsula pioneer William Towner.
The cemetery tour was just one of dozens of events including farm tours, tastings, cultural and nature events, literary readings and demonstrations which include everything from cooking heirloom beans to creating a hedgerow to building compost. The North Saanich Flavour Trail wrapped up with a Mayor’s Country Hoe-down.
