A popular Christmas concert is returning to Sidney.

Sidney Concert Band (SCB) will play the SHOAL Centre for Seniors on Dec. 12. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with the music starting at 7. Admission is by donation with $10 as a suggested figure.

Conductor Bruce Ham said the band will play a selection of Christmas favourites during the annual event, which serves as a fundraiser for local school music programs. Music students from three middle schools — Bayside, North Saanich and Royal Oak — will join the SCB in the grand finale.
