Kim Venn, associate professor in the department of physics and astronomy at the University of Victoria leads a trip toward the first stars in the universe next week during a free public talk by the same name.

The Canada Research Chair and expert in the chemistry of stars and what that says about the environments where they formed, will kick off the department’s popular Café Scientifique series at 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 11 at Hermann’s Jazz Club, 753 View St.
