Panthers on the road

The Peninsula Panthers earned a split weekend. The local Junior B hockey club defeated the Kerry Park Islanders 7-5 in Mill Bay on Saturday night. The Victoria Cougars continued a win streak (eight wins and zero losses) as they clawed the Panthers 6-1 on Friday at Panorama Recreation Centre in North Saanich.

Kerry Park sits in second place in the South Island Division of the Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League. The Peninsula club is sitting in third place with only three wins and five losses in the regular season to date.

The Panthers head to Campbell River to take on the Storm this Friday, Oct. 7 at Rod Brind‘Amour Arena. Saturday, they face the Oceanside Generals in Parksville. The Peninsula club is on home ice again on Oct. 14 in a rematch with the Oceanside team.
