South Island win youth rugby trophy

A 12-5 victory over Vancouver North in the last round robin match won the Vancouver Island South the Men’s Under-16 rugby provincials championship on Sunday.

Island South went undefeated in six, 40-minute games over the weekend. In their final match, the Island South squad recorded tries by Ollie Nott and Brody Penn, with a conversion by Giuseppe Du Toit.
