Food bank for all

Re: Sidney asks neighbours to cost-share for local food bank (PNR Sept. 2).

So Central and North Saanich residents will benefit from this service but the mayors of both municipalities do not want to help pay for the service. This again goes to prove we should have one mayor and one council for the CRD region, not 13.

It was pointed out to me when moving to the region that we had more elected officials than the City of New York. One mayor and one set of officials would save money and hopefully stop this bickering between mayors who are only looking after their own area instead of considering the bigger picture.

Peter King,

Sidney
