Tulips and roses rare

It is very gratifying to see Alice Finall in the July 13 edition of the Peninsula News Review (North Saanich blooms eternal) merrily munching away on her sprig of parsley grown at City Hall.

The rest of us in North Saanich are more often than not watching the deer munch away on our flowers, shrubs, and veggies. Tulips and roses are a rarity where I live in Dean Park.

Happy gardening to everyone.

Denis Courchene,

North Saanich
