VIOLET JOY
It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Violet “Joy” Whelan on April 10, 2010. Joy was born in Comox, BC, February 21, 1931. She leaves her very loving and devoted husband of 59 years Pat; sons Ed (Deb), Rob (Patricia), daughter Trish (Grant), son Larry (Brenda), sister-in-law Margaret Otto, niece Donna (Wayne) and nephews Rob and Bernie; six grandchildren, five great grandchildren, special life long friend Eileen and special friend Lynn. We would like to thank the nurses at Saanich Peninsula Hospital in 115 A and Palliative Care. A tea will be held in celebration of Joys life on Sunday, April 18 from 2-4pm at the Shoal Centre, 10030 Resthaven Drive, Sidney, BC. In lieu of flowers donations to Saanich Penninsula Hospital Foundation if so desired.
