WILLIAMSON, HUGH JOHN (‘JACK’)

MAY 13, 1923 – MARCH 2, 2007


Passed away peacefully in his home on Friday morning, predeceased by his loving wife of 56 years, Shirley, and his sister, Jean; survived by his sisters, Billie and Barbara, and his loving children, Janis, Laurie, Karen and John; and grandchildren, Leigh, Alexandra, Eliot, Thomas, Laura and Jack; and his friend, Nancy.

Jack was born in Prescott, Ontario and raised in Vancouver. He served in the Royal Canadian Navy during WW II and after, earned his B. Commerce and CGA from UBC. He managed a wholesale wheel business until his retirement, and was an active member of the RYYC until he moved to Sidney. He founded the Sidney group of Jolly Boys, and enjoyed monthly meetings of Probus.

Jack was a loving and supportive husband, father, grandfather and friend, who loved his family unconditionally. He will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.

A memorial reception will be held on Sunday, March 11th at the Sidney North Saanich Yacht Club from 11:30 am – 2 pm. If so desired, donations may be made to The War Amps or a charity of your choice.
