The Pharmasave parking lot has been cordoned off due to what the Sidney Volunteer Fire Department is calling a “parking mishap.”
At around 3 p.m. on Tuesday, June 6 a lone driver, who is described as older, crashed her vehicle into a brick pillar in front of the store entrance on Seventh Street in Sidney. Fire Chief Brett Mikkelsen said the driver was conscious and walking around after the incident and didn’t appear to be injured.

A structural engineer has been ordered to assess the integrity of the pillar. For now, crews are working with Pharmasave staff to open a side, employees-only entrance to keep the store open.
Mikkelsen said clean up would take around 30 minutes, followed by the assessment.
Sidney Fire now clear of Pharmasave parking lot. No apparent injuries to driver, area will remain cordoned off until assessed by engineer.
