Holi is the Hindu religious festival of colours — or the festival of love — celebrated to welcome spring.

The Victoria Hindu Temple in Saanichton held the festival on March 8. Cultural co-ordinator Sri Ganti says the event symbolizes brotherhood, friendship and equality, as the colours make everyone look the same.
