Stolen property from Sidney recovered

Police are asking anyone who has had their vehicle broken into recently, to contact the Sidney North Saanich RCMP — they just might have some of their property.

On July 28, a West Shore RCMP officer arrested two Victoria-area adults on Goldstream Avenue while conducting a traffic stop. Various goods were recovered from the vehicle and the pair are facing charges of possession of stolen property and possession of breaking and entering instruments. The suspects are also believed to have been targeting vehicles in Central Saanich.

That same morning, Sidney North Saanich RCMP received calls from residents in the Madrona subdivision of North Saanich who had valuable stolen from their vehicles overnight.

Police report they are looking for the owners of the recovered property, including watches and a wakeboard. People can contact the RCMP at 250-656-3931 for more information.

Police remind people to lock their vehicles and ensure they do not leave valuables inside.
