Wayward deer found in pool

A resident in the 1600-block of Keating X Rd. called Central Saanich police in the early morning of Sept. 2 to report a deer in their swimming pool. The homeowners were unable to extract the animal, which was alive and well by the time an officer responded. The deer was rescued from its leisurely dip in the pool using a ladder and other tools.
