Arts start flowing for Sidney sculpture walk

Mayor Larry Cross and Coun. Marilynn Loveless will be the council portion of the new Sidney Sculpture Walk acceptance committee. They'll be joined by Richard Paquette, Sue Meyer, Grant Rogers, Larry Hanlon, Lisa Makar, Ryan Labelle, Diane Thorp, J.C. Scott, Aaron Bremner and support from town staff in selecting artwork for the proposed Sidney art walk.

Already 26 artists have submitted work for the project launched by the Town of Sidney and the Saanich Peninsula Community Arts Council in September. The project will see sculptures added along two kilometres of the seaside walkway starting at the foot of Beacon Avenue.
