If you’ve got your 2017 Sidney Days program from the Peninsula News Review, please take note of a few corrections, time changes and clarifications for some of the events taking place June 30 to July 2:
Thrifty Foods Picnic in the Park - June 30
A change from last year, there will be no barbecue. Instead, expect picnic foods: cold salads, buns, cold cuts, etc.
Also, the Town of Sidney will not be cutting a Canada Day cake this year. Funds raised from the Picnic in the Park will go to Sidney Elementary School.
443 Helicopter Squadron Demonstration - July 1
There’s a change in time for this year’s planned water rescue demonstration by the 443 Maritime Helicopter Squadron — it will take place at 3:30 p.m., not 5 p.m.
