Congratulations to reader Trudi Carrier, winner of $250 in Thrifty Foods gift cards.

Carrier was presented recently with her prize by Peninsula News Review Publisher Lisa Holliday-Scott. Carrier’s name was drawn from among the 340-plus entries in the News Review’s annual Readers Choice Awards.

Each year, the PNR asks its readers to tell us which Saanich Peninsula-area businesses and community service organizations, destinations and more, are their favourites. And each year, the PNR hosts an awards night event, to recognize some of the best businesses on the Peninsula.

And while not every business or organization can make the awards night event, their hard work is recognized not only by the hosts of the evening, but also by all the readers who voted for them. And as usual, the News Review has a collection of this year’s awards at its office on Second Street in Sidney, for and of the winners who wish to pick them up, and display them prominently in their offices.
