Town budget goes to the public in February

There will be a series of public budget meetings starting later this month for the Town of Sidney

There will be a series of public budget meetings starting later this month for the Town of Sidney.

The first is a Jan. 20 committee of the whole session at Town hall where the budget plan for 2014-2018 will be introduced by staff and discussed by councillors. Issues such as tax rates and more will be on the table.

A Feb. 11 special meeting will follow, allowing for community feedback on the proposed budget.

A special council meeting will be held Feb. 18 for final budget talks and input by the public.

All meetings begin at 6 p.m.
