A new program offered by Staples West Shore provides peace of mind for parents purchasing Chrome Books for their children.

All schools are converting to Chrome Books, said Gerry Denis, manager of West Shore Staples, the primary sponsor for the Black Press Great Teachers feature.

The Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program offers educational pricing on a four-year warranty for repairs and replacement of Chrome Books, depending on the school’s level of participation in the program, Denis explained.

The popular School Tools program is another way Staples helps parents save on the cost of school supplies.

School Tools provides a 10 per cent discount for parents that order personalized school supply kits for their children online. Seventeen schools in the Capital Region are already participating in School Tools because of the convenience and savings involved, with more expected to take advantage of the innovative cost-saving program in September.

“We’re always looking for ways to help families with the costs involved in ensuring their kids get the best education,” Denis added. “We want to do our part in making sure students have everything they need to better ensure that teachers can continue with the amazing work they do in classrooms throughout our community every day.”
