Elaine Kirwin this month celebrated 20 years of owning the Expedia Cruise Ship Centres office in Sidney.

“It has worked out terrific,” she said.

Kirwin said she started working there more than 20 years ago in 1995 and bought the Sidney location two years later. On Jan. 12, she hosted a party marking those two decades, welcoming staff and long-time clients.

“We are still busy and I’ve been able to see places I never thought I’d see.”

She said owning the office has allowed her to visit some of the places that they recommend to their clients.

Kirwin said typical places people from the area travel to, include hot spots like the Caribbean and even Europe.

After two decades in the travel business, Kirwin isn’t slowing down. She said she hopes there will another good 20 years to come.
